Who are we?
The Chair demographic transition, economic transition has been created within the Risk Foundation (Research Foundation of public utility), under the aegis of the Institut Louis Bachelier. The Chair is a research and discussion is intended to participate in public debate to bring awareness to the opportunities of aging. The latter is too often perceived as an economic burden while its effects on growth factors such as health, education level, or productivity savings are controversial.
Jean-Hervé Lorenzi is Chair Transitions demographic, economic transitions, Helen Xuan, its Scientific Director and Roseline Kouadio its Project Manager.
Our goal
Our work aims to define the equilibrium conditions of our aging economies:
-
By shedding light on economic and social consequences of aging through seminars: an international forum, meeting Thursday of the Chair of demographic transition, economic transitions, etc..
-
By questioning the relationship between aging and economic growth through major issues emblematic of productivity (human capital, innovation, etc..), Immigration, savings (product flow and intermediation, etc..) the role of institutions (social protection, labor market, etc..) to highlight the opportunities for growth.
